Our labor of love.
Each child who walks through our doors brings a unique story, a tapestry of experiences that have shaped their journey. Yet, within the nurturing environment of Mahima, these stories are rewritten, their challenges transformed into stepping stones towards a brighter tomorrow. Our dedicated staff, driven by a deep compassion, work tirelessly to provide the tools, resources, and emotional support necessary for these children to flourish.
From academic tutoring and life skills training to counseling and extracurricular activities, Mahima's holistic approach ensures that every aspect of a child's development is nurtured. We believe that by addressing the whole child, we can unlock their true capabilities and instill the confidence they need to overcome any obstacle.
As these children blossom under our care, we witness the remarkable metamorphosis – from the unseen struggles of their past to the unstoppable force they become. Their triumphs, large and small, inspire us to continue our mission, to be the guiding light that illuminates the path towards a future filled with boundless possibilities.
At Mahima Children's Home, we are not merely caretakers; we are partners in the journey of transformation. We stand alongside these children, empowering them to write their own stories, to become the architects of their destinies. It is through this unwavering commitment that we witness the unseen become the unstoppable, a testament to the power of hope, resilience, and the transformative impact of our work.
Lakshmi’s story
“My name is Lakshmi and I am 14 years old. When I was born, my parents left me in orphanage because they didn’t want me. From that orphanage I came to Mahima home. In Mahima home I got everything that I need: proper food, shelter, clothes and specially I got parents Suri uncle and Tammy aunty. I am very happy in this home. I love this home so much! Before I cane here I was thinking that am alone and nobody is there with me. Now I have a family and I am going to school daily. We play together, eat together, pray together in this home. I am getting a good education. I thank God for this wonderful home and I thank Suri uncle and Tammy aunty for supporting me, guiding me and loving me so much.“
